Surviving sequestered life in the pandemic
Life as we have known it before the World Health Organization declared the spread of the coronavirus a “pandemic” on March 11, 2020 has changed utterly.
Coping with the stress of all this change— this isolation, this upheaval— can be a challenge. The Alexander Technique can help with this because it centers us in our bodies rather than in our racing minds, and therefore helps us to be in the present moment—not making up scenarios about an unknown future, most of which are fearful.
Using only a few simple, almost effortless movements while thinking according to F.M. Alexander’s principles, the bodymind can be restored to its balance, and ease and freedom result instead of pain and anxiety.
During this stressful time, I am teaching online only, of course. If you are interested in experiencing this work as a tool for relieving anxiety or helping ease back pain and eyestrain as we spend more time at the computer, or for any other reason, please fill out the appointment request form on the home page or text me at the number given. I am located in the US in the Central Daylight Time zone. I will try to reply to all legitimate requests as soon as possible.
Till then, stay safe. Be well.
